Thermo physical characteristics of Hydrocarbons
Selection
of hydrocarbons as an environmentally friendly alternative refrigerant
replacement for CFCs and HCFCs must consider several things including
boiling point at normal pressure, volumetric capacity and energy
efficiency. Boiling
point must be considered to ensure whether the operating pressure is
equal to the replacement of CFCs to avoid the need of high pressure
equipment such as compressors.
One of the hydrocarbon refrigerant is used as an example in this paper is Musicool. Physical
properties of hydrocarbon refrigerants Musicool based testing
laboratory, which indicates that the hydrocarbon Musicool (MC) could
replace synthetic refrigerants (CFC, HCFC, HFC) directly without
replacement refrigeration system components.
MC-12 to replace R-12, MC-22, replacing R-22 and MC-134 to replace R-134a. Physical
and thermodynamic properties of hydrocarbons Musicool gives performance
better refrigeration system, compressor life durability, and energy
efficient. Several
parameters Musicool performance comparisons against synthetic
refrigerants in refrigeration systems with load 1 TR at 100 oF and the
condensation temperature of the evaporator temperature is 40 oF.
